Abstract
A Japanese folding screen takes the influence of Chinese folding screens. The influence of the folding screen which appeared in Han age from Chinese zhou age is taken, and a Japanese panel screen is being used at present, too. But, names are changed. A folding screen and panel screen and a small panel screen can classify the kind of the Chinese folding screen. A Chinese folding screen is called Ping feng and Ping Zhang and a Zhangzi, too. Formation varies in the Chinese Zhangzi according to the Japanese Shoji. Japanese folding screens are the partition devices. Chodo is the properties of itself.
