Abstract
The disaster prevention map is an effective tool to reduce the damage from the natural disaster. In 2004, Tsuchiya Laboratory had developed the Tsujido-area disaster prevention map, which was too large for the daily use and was not effective enough for the people in this district. In 2005, I investigated a new disaster prevention map that is much more easy to use at home. The new one is as large as A4 size, 4 pages, which included many new ideas to make it more useful and instructive, for examples, information about the usage of Disaster Message Board Services, emergency supplies and a large-scale area map. In this research, I introduce the examination process and the problems on the way of making the disaster prevention map.
