Abstract
This study is what it clarifies about the creation of the Japanese gothic typeface that was affected by the American gothic typeface. The three specialized researchers of the Latin alphabet typefaces or the typography wrestle with this study. Yamamoto does the study of American "Gothic". Goto does the study that American print technology builted the foundation of the Japanese modern print technology. Ishikawa does a study about the creation of the Japanese gothic typeface. Join these three studies together and want to gather it up as "The relevance study with the Japanese gothic typeface creation and the Latin alphabet typefaces". The theme of this presentation is creation of the first Japanese gothic typeface.
