Abstract
In general process to design a car, it’s usual to make a scale model for 3D study and scale-up to full size model. But since the scale model is usually made exaggerated, it becomes over expressed when scaling-up to full size model which makes them to adjust once again when it’s scaled-up. Therefore, the relation between dimension and nuance of curved surface relies on human’s sensibility. So, the objective of this study is to quantify the curvature difference between scale model and full size model. As a result, by scaling-up the radius of a curve of scale mode (1/5 model in this study) by approximately 90% looks exact the same as full size model.
