Abstract
The purpose of this study is to make safe and comfortable traffic system in the campus of University of Tsukuba. The case study is reported in this Part 2. We quoted the concept of shared space among several ways. We hope that students use bicycle on the roadway instead of pedestrian way. The brand-new apparatus (rue Navi) was used for painting the pattern on road surface. The length of the painted road is 260m, which is a part of 4km campus road. The idea, that painted pattern is a zelkova tree, is based on the street name (Keyaki Dori / zelkova avenue). As a result, the speed of the car is reduced, and the quality of landscape is improved.
