Abstract
This paper conducts an experiment to explore the correlation between the physiology response and individual characteristic of a group of subjects during nightly sleep, after they are exposed to red, green, and blue monochromatic light during the forenoon. The subjects’ eyes are exposed to red (638nm), green (523nm) and blue (465nm) monochromatic LED light sources, with irradiances of 73.4μW/cm² (Red), 74.2 μW/cm² (Green), and 76.9 μW/cm² (Blue), respectively. It can be found that the rectal temperature value under blue lighting is significantly higher than that under red lighting (P<0.01). Through the analysis, it can be concluded that under blue lighting condition the drop of the rectal temperature is evidently suppressed and sleep rhythm slowed. The effects are obvious for those who are the ‘eveningness’ type.
