Intuitive GUI design based on analog operation with digital gradations

Abstract

This research proposes a new physical GUI based on intuitive analog operation combined with digital gradations.  When a man moves an object, he tends to choose the best operation intuitively based on visual information of the objects and the purpose of the move. This human nature of intuitive choice of operation was applied to the development of the unique physical GUI proposed in this paper.
