Abstract
The symbolic characters have been evaluatedwith subjective scores in most of the preliminarystudies. Our preliminary study focused on not onlysubject ive evaluat ion with Semant ic Different ialmethod but also psychophysiological and behavioralevaluation with biological signals and the reaction time. Experimental results suggest that the identificationof symbolic characters is related to EEG eventrelatedpotential and the reaction time. The favorablei m p r e s s i o n o f s y m b o l i c c h a r a c t e r s i s a s s o c i a t e dwith the identification of symbolic characters as well as othersubjective elements, such as "loveliness" and "eeriness (-)".
