Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this study is to report on our concept and process of the design for the Bus Rapid Transit in Hitachi city. There was the Hitachi-Dentetsu train there before, but it had become a disused line 10 years ago. The new traffic system, the Bus Rapid Transit, was introduced for people’s benefit and effective utilization of land. The bus design was collected from the public and the design which motif is the sea was chosen. We redesigned it for the bus design and developed with the bus stop design and other goods.
