Abstract
This study reports the case studies to form a wood-recycling system by using a design thinking. In Japan, there are a lot of the buildings using wood, however, the most of them will not be used by recycling. We carried out a collaborative design to form a wood-recycling system with people in society from multiple viewpoints. First, we surveyed the current situation of wood recycling in Ishikawa Prefecture by interviews to identify the problems. Second, we discuss with designers, researchers, city-officers, housewives, and so on to find solutions by considering quality of life. Based on the case study, models of wood-recycle for social system design concerning with lifestyle are presented in this study.
