Abstract
This study examined effects of eye shadows on perception of the face colors. Three face colors and 7 colors of eye shadow made 21 standard stimuli of face. The comparison stimuli were 9 ellipses for each face. Sixteen female students judged the same color of ellipse as the faces. The results showed that neutral and yellowish faces were especially affected by the eye shadows and that the results of the simultaneous comparison were different from those of serial comparison.
