Abstract
In this study, a sensory evaluation experiment of automotive interior material textures was conducted, and factor analysis and multiple regression analysis were performed to elucidate the visual evaluation factors. As a result, 7 evaluation factors were extracted. In those evaluations, "authentic", "deep", and "unique" are three effective main factors affecting on the overall evaluations of “high-grade” and “preferable”. Furthermore, the design guidelines and their application method to improve evaluation of “high-grade” and “preferable” were proposed. The guidelines utilize the synthetic vector between standard partial regression coefficients of the main factors on the constellation diagram of samples and those clusters.
