Proposals of new haptic interface to present information

Abstract

This paper is focused on haptic to propose a new interface for presenting information. The purpose of this paper is to clarify the relationship between motions of haptic interface and those impression. Instead of vibration, three motions: pushing, rotating and picking were used to present different impression. According to factor analysis, it was obtained two factors such as “emotion” and “emmergency”. The result suggested that “emotion” and “emmergency” was related to type of motions and those frequency, respectively.
