Proposal of Traditional Crafts Products Focused on Dyed Bamboo

Abstract

This paper is to expression bamboo colors using dyeing to improve value of bamboos. Through the experiment of bamboo dyeing with corresponding dye and dyeing method, the dye range of bamboo becomes clear till now. As a application dyed bamboo, traditional crafts products has been proposed. With the cooperation of the craftsman, three types of craft products such as bamboo cage, flower vase and japanese fan have been made. Based on those result, The possibility that the dyeing bamboo could apply and use to a traditional craft product was comfirmed.
