A texture estimation Method of an object based on image measurement

Abstract

In this paper, we propose a method of estimating the texture of an object that was based on the image measurement. In this method, the texture of the object is described as surface reflection properties. Ando also, the reflection properties are quantified as model parameters of the reflection model. First, the surface reflection process is modeled based on the Torrance-Sparrow model. Second, the estimation algorithms are proposed based on image measurement. Finally, the estimation experiment is performed using the proposed method.
