3DCG Reproduction of the Japanese Lacquer Ware Based on Measurement of Reflection Properties

Abstract

This paper describes a method for 3DCG reproduction
of the Japanese lacquer ware based on measurement of reflection properties.
Firstly, we assume that the Natume Shape is cylindrical shape. And we measure
the reflection properties of the Japanese lacquer ware. Secondly, we describes
a reflection model based on Torrance-Sparrow model, and we estimate a model
parameter. Finally, we render a 3DCG image of the Japanese lacquer ware based
on estimated parameter, and visually confirm the validity of the proposed
method.
