Sensory Evaluation of Chair Components by Compressed Sugi with Elasticity

Abstract

The chair seat and splat was made by compressed Sugi with elasticity the for doing sense examination. As a result, the trail product of compressed Sugi with elasticity was more softly and stability compared with the other wood product. In the next, distribution of body pressure in the seat ant the splat was measured.  As a result, we found that the body pressure was dispersed by compressed Sugi with elasticity.  In the future, it was necessary to clarify the relation between dimensions of the chair and compressed Sugi with elasticity, and make the guidance for the design the human- friendly chair.
