Abstract
Succession of traditional craftsmanship is facing enmeshed in difficulties these days. Hakataori Development College (HDC) was established in 2006 in order to cope with the difficulties around Hakataori (silken fabric produced in Fukuoka) by introducing full-time-two-year educational opportunities for a small group. It has turned out 67 alumni and they, as a whole, have a tough game to increase their income though mainly due to shrinkage of the Kimono market. HDC therefore newly introduced a PBL course aiming to help the students to nourish their capabilities in making creative businesses. In this paper, we report the endeavor.
