Abstract
This research seeks to show attempts at fostering ‘Hometown Love’ in design education, with the support of Wada Junior High School pupils. The aim was to engage the students of the school in the discovery of regional treasures through engaging in activities using their own sense. The results were that many local people have attended presentations; the local people judged the students on the success of their activities in the community; and pupils have become to love and be more proud of their local community.
