Abstract
This study focuses on creative activity in infants’ cooperative expression, attempting to view it in terms of the meaning and mechanisms of humans’ early creative activity from a design perspective. In this, we examine “project activities” at nursery schools. Project activities take children’s own interests and concerns based on events of their daily lives, and aim to draw out creative learning through continuous inquiry via dialogue and expression between children and other people and the world at large. Those activities are a process by which each child independently forms relationships within the small community that is the nursery school. This study reports on make-believe plays in the Inoshishi Project and the expressions, communication, and behavior within those activities.
