Abstract
In this study, we implemented a human resources development program aiming for a cross-institutional approach to careers education and specialist training. The project involved the cooperation of our own university with academic institutions in Fukuoka and the Nagazumi shopping district (Minami-ku, Fukuoka), and aimed to revitalize shopping districts in Minami-ku through branding initiatives.
The project involved initiatives including the production of commercials advertising shops in the Nagazumi by the elementary school students themselves in a workshop-style setting, as well as the development of educational arcade games that the students could use to learn about Nagazumi.
We were able to provide them with an opportunity to understand the pressing importance of coming up with a new breakthrough to resolve the problems faced by local regions.
