Abstract
In Japan, foreign film posters are often redesigned so that films result in a hit. For example, an original poster made by the foreign production, which expressed action scenes, was redesigned to Japanese version that expressed it as a family drama movie. In the record, there were some hit foreign movies of which posters were redesigned in such case. However, there must be moviegoers who would be interested in and go see the movie if they could see the original poster. To get more viewers including them, I propose various posters redesigned by genres with common formats - Common parts of visual design - when we distribute a foreign film. In this idea, various designs of non-common visual parts can appeal to many diverse bases, and common formats will produce "Mere-exposure effect".
