Abstract
We proposed a new service to find interesting-sounding paperback novel in bookstores and examined its effects. From the current book display, we found three problems, no cue to attract attention to the novels, difficulty to find interesting ones, and monotone searching process. To solve them, our proposal was bookmarks of Java sparrow that guided people to the novel corner from other areas, introduced novels to fit to each interest, and used as bookmarks after purchase. Although there were issues, the proposal had originality and entertainment.
