Abstract
This research aimed to examine the effects on learning of using circular stickers of equal steps in grey scales for drawing assignments.
Beginners to drawing tend to see the shape of objects in terms of its contours or outlines, and struggle to understand the relationship between light and dark across a continuum from white to black.
The research seemed to suggest that when drawing by using circular stickers stepped across 11 intervals of gradation from white to black, subjects obtained the ability to apprehend the brightness of an object and visualize it with realistic solid feeling.
