Abstract

This study aims to elucidate methods for designing responsive corporate logos while maintaining visual identity (VI) and visibility intact. Specifically focusing on application icons, it aims to adapt to logo usage diversification due to downsizing and business expansion. Conducted experiments targeted all age groups and employed smartphone-based impression evaluations. Analysis was conducted using Thurstone's paired comparison method. Results indicate that for enhancing visibility without compromising VI, it's preferable for logo types to adopt a symbolized design, while logo marks are ideally arranged with elements positioned vertically.
