Abstract

In this study, compressed elastic sugi was applied to the frames and side panels of storage furniture, confirming its effectiveness in reduced overturn risk during an earthquake. However, the design of the storage furniture was limited because the compressed elastic sugi was made to fit the dimensions and shape of each component. Therefore, we processed compressed elastic sugi and it into wide and long laminated wood. As a result of conducting vibration tests on storage furniture made from this laminated wood, the acceleration was reduced, making it compatible with a variety of designs.
