Abstract

This study outlines designing tools for a landscape color workshop, aiming to held in variety of places. Starting from prototyping with the common resources purchased at a 100-yen store, we utilized digital fabrication to design tools. As workshops multiplied, readily available resources from 100-yen stores or Amazon proved more practical. Therefore, we considered that this could be regarded as “tool hunting” and examined its potential as tool design for a more open workshop which anyone can easily hold.
