Abstract

Beginning in 2019, the authors have organized a Social Practice Design Lab to pursue local design approaches. As a result, it became clear that there is a need for activity based design, a flexible method of exploring design themes and projects while entering and deepening relationships with specific communities. After COVID-19 no longer allowed face-to-face activities, we attempted to practice projects by forming online design team (party). Both in person and online, project members actively participated in the project through expressive activities. Based on the results of these projects, an attempt was made to introduce activity based design into high school design classes, and students and local stakeholders are working together on the project. The project will continue to be carried out in order to make design more accessible to students.
