Study for revitalization measures using the 'Uchiwa' of Kirakira Tachibana shopping street

Abstract

To ensure the sustainable development of Kirakira Tachibana shopping street in environmental changes, such as an increase in the number of students in the neighborhood, we defined the communication characteristic of the shopping street as "Uchiwa" and conducted four surveys. The "Magic Lantern" event, which took advantage of the shopping street's history, attracted 89 people and led to store visits. Regular events based on local history were effective in improving the image of the shopping street and gaining the trust of the community.
