Abstract
This study aimed to identify the design attitudes of individuals who addressed personal challenges through creative practices, with a focus on recipients of the Good Design Award. Analysis revealed five common attitudes: (1) critical thinking and pursuit of essence, (2) fostering collaboration and co-creation, (3) commitment to simplicity and continuous practice, (4) empathy and respect for humanity, and (5) embracing new challenges with flexible thinking. These attitudes were underpinned by a shared belief in creating societal value, indicating the potential for individuals —regardless of professional expertise— to make meaningful contributions to society through design.
