Abstract

Tactile sensation, a fundamental sensealongside vision and hearing, strongly influencespsychology through direct contact with objects. Inproduct design, surface tactile properties play a key rolein evoking emotional responses, including perceivedcomfort. However, the relationship between material,surface texture, and emotional arousal has not beenfully explored. This study investigates how tactileproperties impact emotional evaluation by examiningmaterial and surface shape (shape and roughness) toclarify their connection with emotional responses.
