The Proposal of the Tool to Improve Youth Voter Turnout

New Votematch and Encouraging Conversations about Politics

Abstract

This paper proposes the tool to improve youth voter turnout. I designed a new application named “Growing Vote Egg” which uses gamification. It has a new votematch function and it makes and encourages conversations about politics. “Growing Vote Egg” gives a user information about political issues and each party’s opinion. Also, it guides conversations to refine user’s opinion. I examined the effect of the prototype and I could get the result that my prototype could enhance youths’ motivation to vote.
