Coordinating Open Street Map and Fundamental Geospatial Data for EV Shuttle Service Optimization

Abstract

This paper presents a method of coordinating Open street map and Fundamental Geospatial Data of the Geospatial Information Authority of Japan for optimal route search assuming the conversion to Electric Vehicles (EVs). According to the increasing elderly population along with license relinquishment and the reduction of public transportation services, medical users require a shuttle service of hospital and/or nursing home. The proposed method enables the construction of road network data that incorporates elevation data reflecting the actual terrain.
