Abstract

As society faces population decline, labor shortages in local communities have become a serious challenge. While numerous initiatives have been implemented to foster a sense of ownership among local residents, there are few cases where their effectiveness has been demonstrated. In this study, we planned and conducted a workshop in which participants explored the positive aspects of their daily lives and created posters to help them rediscover the merits of their local communities that are often overlooked. Interview findings revealed that through this workshop, residents deepened their self-understanding regarding their lives and work, and visible changes emerged in their attitudes and lifestyles.
