Sensory Evaluation on Board and Sheet-formed Interior Materials : Characteristic Research and Development of Using on Interior Materials(1)

Abstract

The sense character of touch and the sight is explained about interior material which gives the quality of the life space a big influence. First, the thing being expected to use and thing which had already been used as interior material was chosen and classified in board-formed and sheet-formed. The sensory evaluation experiment which a SD-method was used for the purpose of presenting the index of the use of these materials is done by this report. Factor Loading after Varimax-method was looked for by doing a factor analysis. "Sophisticated", "Grade", "Force" were extracted as a factor which was common to the board and the sheet as that result. Furthermore, configuration map between each factor was made. Therefore, the character of the material and the relations of the image became distinct about the board-formed 23 kinds and sheet-formed 19 kinds of materials, and the tendency of the sense character could be grasped.
