The objective of this study is to observe architectural design students to examine the obtained learning results in order to understand the students' level of awareness while undertaking design projects. This was performed by focusing on the sketches and annotations created by the students as task submissions.
The study investigated the acquisition of learning results by studying the markings of dimensions such as width, depth, and height in the students' sketches. Furthermore, the results of the study indicated that students created designs encompassing both the site and surrounding area for tasks involving three-dimensional conceptualization and configuration of solid objects in the introductory stage. This was considered as a useful design method.
