Abstract
Research on the actual conditions for soil education and teachers consciousness for soil education was carried out by questionairing on 580 teachers of primary and junior high-schools. From the answers to the questionaire, following conclusions were obtained. 1. The method of education on soil is not reasonably oriented. 2. Over 60% of answered teachers have the opinions that the education on soil in the school should be improved. 3. The methods of improvemeat are rather complicated. The suggested most reasonable method was to give the lessons on soil science systematically in the course of Science and Civics. 4. Considerable numbers of teachers did not have the chance to get enough experience in education on soil in teacher-training colledges.
