Abstract
Since the late eighties, several trials on curriculum development for 'Information Education' at high school level have been executed collaboratively among researchers from universities and high school teachers. Our curriculum is characterized by its comprehensive contents, realistic features and its composition by three different units, taking into consideration time constrains, instructional facilities and teachers' awareness of and a preparation for information education. The curriculum is composed of tree different units; a literacy-oriented one for all round students in high schools, an information society and human communication oriented one for those expecting to continue social and/or humanity studies of college or universitiy, and an information science and technology oriented one for those expecting to continue to deepen and broaden their interests and to study information related subjects in college or university. The procedures of curriculum development are introduced in this paper.
