Abstract
The author and colleagues are developing a curriculum for information technology for high school students who want to go on to specialize in Liberal Arts at college or university. We have prepared a list of learning objectives, contents, tasks and evaluational viewpoints. The text "Information for Liberal Arts" contains seven chapters: 1) Information and Information Systems, 2) Information and our Society, 3) Communication and Lifestyles, 4) Human Information Processing, 5) Information Technology, 6) Privacy and Security, 7) Systems and Models. One hundred and thirty university staff members discuss and give their opinions on these contents through replies submitted to our questionnair.
