Abstract
The aim of this research is to identify students’ scientific competency through STEM integrated approach. STEM is developing in many countries including in Indonesia, because of the advancement in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) can effect to modern live changing such as: transportation, medicine, gadget, food, and etc. The participants in this research included 36 students on STEM instruction and 38 students on non-STEM instruction. The students are 8th grade of junior high school in Indonesia. The results indicated that there were influence of STEM integrated instruction to the students’ scientific competency it seen by ANCOVA analysis (sig. 0,000<0,05). This result of scientific competency specify only in force and motion topic.
