Abstract
Surgeons have responsibility to make stoma that doesn't cause complications related to stoma. Our operative method to make permanent endcolostomy is discussed. The shape of ideal complication-free stoma is round in shape,3.0 cm in diameter and 1.0 to 1.5 cm in height. Orifice is situated at the top and center of stoma. Stoma is firmly fixed to fascia of rectus muscle. First skin incision must be done after measuring and marking 2.0 cm in diameter. After skin incision,it's size grows about 3.0cm in diameter by abdominal wall tension. Adding skin incision a little, adjust the size and make accurately a round skin hole of 3 .5cm in diameter. Incision of fascia is made in cross shape. Before penetrating colon into abdominal wall, put a stitch at 8 points using 4-0 vicryl around the hole of rectus fascia. And after penetrating, fix colon at 8 points. The mucosa of colon is sutured to skin adjusting the height of stoma.
