Abstract
An ostomy bag with a filter are provided through many manufactuers,however there also heard filter related complains,leakage or blocking．We evaluated 14 types of filters of five manufacturers assuming an usage in waterly output．A result was among 14 filters,5 showed leakage from filters(36％),8 blocking(57％)and rest 6 had no leakage nor blocking(43％)．
For ostomates,both are most inconveniences and also most conceming issues．However because of relatively higher cost,and imperfect functionalities mentioned above,they are still not widely used．From view point of improvement of patients' QOL,an development of more improved gas filter is highly anticipated．
