Abstract
Ebola virus possesses a non-segmented, negative-stranded, single-stranded RNA genome. With the recent large Ebola disease outbreaks in Africa, Ebola virus becomes an increasingly important pathogen for global public health. Here, I give an outline of Ebola virus with an emphasis on the viral components and structures.
