This paper reports the physical properties (specific gravity, viscosity, pH) and evaporation experiments of semichemical pulp spent liquors by cyclic treatments.
The results were found that the specific gravity and viscosity are very nearly proportional to the concentration below 35, 30% solids, but at higher concentration, specific gravity-concentration, viscosity-concentration tend to curve upward.
At the evaporation experiments, Semichemical pulp spent liquors were evaporated well to about 66% solids under the reduced pressure.
