Our Industry has made efforts to reduce the use of external fossil fuel per ton of output by 26.4 percent between 1975 and 1981.
A few years ago, we set up standard figures of specific consumption of individual products, but it is of no use for us, now.
Therefore we have investigated a new data reported by 75 mills of pulp, paper and paperboard which are operated by 31 companies accounting for about 65 percent of the total production in Japanese pulp and paper industry.
According to the reported data, we have revised the standard figures which have improved by about 10 percent compared to the old ones.
And in this report, I have calculated How much Energy Saving realized by :
1. Use of waste paper
2. Reduction of Condensing Generation
3. Improvement of Reclaimed Drain
4. Water Saving
