This study aims to examine the roles of a support organization in a privately developed rental collective housing project comparing with knowledge of existing communities in Northern Europe and U.S.A.. The result shows importance of shared philosophy of collective living, studies of the model, a support program for communication and collaboration, facilitation for group process, professional technical support, thin person support to a resident organization and the owner, and mutual network support with other projects and professionals.
