Abstract

This is a study on the role of design for image of residential areas through land-use planning used by housing units density. It's cleared followings through this study: ①relation between planning permission and design guide in UK, ②some methods of land-use planning used by housing units density, ③effects of design guide based on unit density at some model districts in Japan.
