A study of the traditional houses along Bungo highway of Kumamoto

Abstract

By this study, We conducted the field survey on the traditional houses along Bungo highway and, as a result, showed data such as the house of the rich farmers / the general farmhouses /the town houses /the tea houses for the feudal lord. And I clarified two points of next in particular 1. The houses of the rich farmers of Otsu-cho are large, and there are many good-quality houses, and the archetype is different from ‘Futatsu-ya style which there was in a neighborhood. 2. One tea houses and one rest institution which followed it exists.
