Through the 10 years' research of Jyohana Hikiyama Festival, we found that the town modernization had changed the housing culture of traditional festivals and the town community. The other side, in the local towns which keep the traditional town houses and their streets, they decorate Byobu (folding screens) or dolls displayed for the girls' festival in traditional townhouses as tourist resources to recover the town vitality. We found that those towns use the town houses and the housing culture of the traditional festival as the important tools of town community.
