Development of wooden house building system using only one size lumber

Abstract

To promote using domestic lumber, this paper proposes new wooden house building system, which uses metal joints to make coupled beam, and test its effect in 2 ways. First, from the interview with groups and companies in each level of wooden distribution system in Tamba and Sasayama area, this paper shows the each level’s problems and how effective the new building system is. Second, from the bending tests, this paper shows the Structural performances of proposing coupled beam. And from these 2 results, this paper shows how to improve this wooden house building system.
